The 1930s Culpepper Inn has been beautifully restored and is within walking distance to the harbor and downtown shops, restaurants, pubs, the art district and the Museum of the Albemarle. The Inn makes a great choice for lodging when you travel to the Outer Banks. There is a large in-ground salt water swimming pool and quiet areas to relax and enjoy the grounds. The Inn has lovely furnishings, oriental rugs, original artwork, luxurious linens, a player baby grand piano and Waterford Crystal chandeliers adorning the dining room and foyer. There are four luxurious bedrooms in the adult-only Main House and a largest suite above the Carriage House, great for romantic getaways and families (children over 12 only). Six rooms with fireplaces are located in the attached guest house that accommodate children over 12. All 11 of our rooms have en suite baths.

Guests are offered homemade, fresh, whole foods breakfast, homemade snacks and a social gathering space complete with theater seating and board games. Spacious outdoor common areas include timed ambiance lighting, an outdoor theater system, living room & fireplaces, gazebos, tables & chairs, fish pond and a rocking chair side porch.
